SENIOR PRACTITIONER EMPLOYEE RELATIONS

Job Overview

The Western Cape Provincial Office is seeking two Senior Practitioners for Employee Relations on a three-year contract basis, offering an annual salary of R413 001 plus 37% in lieu of benefits. Applicants must hold an NQF level 6 undergraduate qualification in Human Resources Management, Public Management, or Employee Relations, alongside two years of functional experience in employment relations. Requirements & Qualifications

• An undergraduate qualification in Human Resources Management, Public Management, or Employee Relations at NQF level 6 as recognised by SAQA.
• Two (2) years of functional experience in an Employment Relations Management environment.
• Driver’s license (added as an advantage).
• Knowledge of Public Service Commission’s rules for dealing with complaints and grievances.
• Knowledge of Public Service Coordinating Bargaining Council’s Resolutions.
• Knowledge of Interpretation of case law and trends in Labour Law.
• Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Public Service Act (PSA), Labour Relations Act (LRA), and Employment Equity Act (EEA).
• Knowledge of PSCBC and CCMA procedure.
• Skills in Negotiation, People Management, Problem Solving, Presentation, Planning and Organising, Communication, Computer Literacy, and Report Writing.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Conduct and analyse all grievances and complaints received from employees in the province.
• Draft charges and finalise all misconduct cases in the department.
• Represent the department in all disputes referred to the General Public Service Sectoral Bargaining Council (GPSSBC) and the Commission for Conciliation, Mediation and Arbitration (CCMA).
