HR OFFICER: HR CLERK SUPERVISOR

Job Overview

Bayworld Museum in Gqeberha is hiring an HR Officer: HR Clerk Supervisor at a salary level of R338 106 – R398 277 per annum (Level 07). Applicants must hold a National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management, Public Administration, or a related field, alongside 1 to 2 years of functional HR experience. Key competencies include proficiency in PERSAL and Pension Case Management systems, knowledge of South African labour legislation, and strong administrative skills. Responsibilities involve coordinating leave, managing recruitment, capturing appointments and terminations, and processing employee benefits.

Requirements & Qualifications

• National Senior Certificate
• National Diploma (NQF Level 6) or B. Degree qualification (NQF level 7) in Human Resource Management, Personnel Management, Public Administration, Public Management, Business Management, or Industrial Psychology
• At least 1 to 2 years functional experience in a Human Resource Management environment
• Extensive knowledge of the PERSAL and Pension Case Management systems
• Knowledge of Human Resource Management Methodology, Principles and Strategies, COIDA, DPSA Directives, Batho Pele Principles, Budgeting and Financial Management, Labour Relations Act, Employment Equity Act, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, PFMA, National Treasury regulations, PAIA, PAJA, MISS, and POPIA
• Skills in Coaching and Mentoring, Conflict Management, Critical and Innovative Thinking, People Management, Performance and Project Management, Quality Assurance, and Risk Management
• Ability to work under pressure and independently
• A valid Code 8 driving license

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor leave and PERSAL administration in the museum
• Assist with the implementation of Recruitment and Selection
• Capture appointments, confirmation of probations, promotions and services terminations on PERSAL
• Assist on confirmation of probationary appointment
• Assist in implementing services termination and processing the benefits
• Assist in the implementation of HR policies
• Process employee service benefits including housing allowance, S&T, long service, grade and pay progression, medical, and IOD
• Capture personnel information on PERSAL and on PCM
• Provide good administration and ensure that personnel files meet the required standard
