Head Office in East London is hiring three Finance Clerk Production personnel within Grant Management. The role requires a National Senior Certificate with accounting and no prior experience. Responsibilities include capturing claims and journals on the Basic Accounting System, reconciling payments, compiling compliance reports, and managing records. Candidates should possess knowledge of Public Finance, Grants Frameworks, and Human Settlements policies, alongside solid communication and analytical skills.

Requirements & Qualifications

• National Senior Certificate/NQF level 4 with accounting as a subject
• No experience required
• Knowledge of Public Finance and Grants Frameworks
• Knowledge of Human Settlements policy and legislative environment

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide clerical support in the management of Human Settlements Conditional Grants
• Receive payments for capturing and verify payments for compliance
• Capture claims and journals on Basic Accounting System (BAS)
• Submit project payments for authorisation
• Provide clerical support in the compilation of Compliance Reports
• Draw BAS expenditure reports and file journals after processing
• Provide clerical support in the reconciliation of BAS and project payments
• Receive payment stubs, verify correctness of amounts and banking details, and sort in numerical order
• Reconcile BAS paid payments with Housing Subsidy System
• Perform records management duties including requesting Electronic Bank Transfers (EBT) payment lists and filing
• Receive RFIs and provide information to auditors, internal and/or external stakeholders
