STATE ACCOUNTANT: FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATION

Job Overview

The Department of Social Development, Western Cape Government, is advertising for two State Accountant positions in Financial Administration (Ref No: DSD 87/2026) located in Metro South and Cape Winelands. The position offers a salary of R413 001 - R486 501 per annum (Level 08). Requirements include an NQF level 6 qualification and at least 1 year of relevant experience. Duties involve management accounting, financial accounting, supply chain management, and supervision. Shortlisted candidates will undergo pre-entry assessments and vetting.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A qualification at NQF level 6 (equivalent or higher qualification)
• A minimum of 1-year relevant experience
• Working knowledge of legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices bearing on line functions
• Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), National and Provincial Treasury Regulations, and financial policies
• Understanding of public service procedures, processes and systems
• Skills in numeracy, computer literacy, language, and project management
