SENIOR SUPPLY CHAIN PRACTITIONER: LOGISTICS AND ASSET MANAGEMENT

Job Overview

The Office of the Chief Registrar of Deeds in Pretoria is hiring two Senior Supply Chain Practitioners (Level 08) specialising in Logistics and Asset Management. Applicants must hold a Grade 12 certificate and a relevant National Diploma along with at least 2 years of SCM experience. Responsibilities include managing purchase orders, travel arrangements, inventory, asset verification, stock counts, and reconciliations using the Accpac system. Requirements & Qualifications

• Grade 12 Certificate
• National Diploma in Financial Management / Logistics / Purchasing Management / Supply Chain Management / Public Administration / Public Management or relevant equivalent qualification
• Minimum of 2 years working experience in Supply Chain Management environment
• A valid driver’s licence
• Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
• Knowledge of Treasury Regulations
• Knowledge of Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA)
• Knowledge of Departmental SCM and Asset management procurement policy
• Computer literacy

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Generate, capture, and approve purchase orders on the Accpac system
• Retrieve and verify outstanding purchase order reports and confirm goods and services rendered
• Create goods received slips, track document numbers, print RCP, and submit documents to credits
• Certify invoices for payment as per delegation of authority and approve RCP on the system
• Coordinate travel arrangements, check completeness and compliance of travel documents, and process travel bookings on workflow
• Conduct asset verification, stock counts, and disposals
• Receive, verify, and check the availability of stock, issue stock, and update bin cards and systems
• Monitor stock levels, advise on replenishment, and identify stock defects, surpluses, and redundant consumables
• Compile asset verification plans, conduct spot checks, and perform asset verifications at all deeds offices
• Scrutinise and reconcile asset verification reports against the asset register and update findings
• Identify redundant, obsolete, and unserviceable assets for disposal and draft disposal memorandums
• Reconcile the asset register against the general ledger and monitor asset-related accounts on the Accpac system
