Job Overview

Masebe Nature Reserve is hiring a Senior Resort Officer (Level 08) with a salary range of R413 001 – R486 501 per annum. Requirements include a Grade 12 plus NQF level 6 or National Diploma in hospitality/Tourism and Eco-tourism Management, along with 5 years of relevant experience including 2 years in a supervisory role. Candidates must be physically fit, have no criminal record, and possess a valid driver's license with PDP. Responsibilities involve managing hospitality and tourism services, staff, statutory compliance, sales potential, and day-to-day resort operations.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Grade 12 certificate
• NQF level 6 or National diploma in hospitality, Tourism, and Eco-tourism Management
• Degree or BTech in Hospitality, Tourism, and Ecotourism will be an added advantage
• Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in Hospitality, Tourism, and Eco Tourism Management
• Minimum of two (2) years of supervisory experience in the hospitality or tourism industry
• Physically fit with no criminal record
• Valid driver’s license with a valid PDP

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor the effective and efficient provisioning of hospitality and tourism services
• Maintain the highest possible standard in relation to guests, staff, business associates, and professional contacts
• Direct, organise, and control the efforts of all personnel to operate in accordance with objectives, ensuring service delivery is the primary focus
• Ensure that the Resort complies with and adheres to all statutory laws and regulations
• Responsible for maximising the sales potential of the Resort through the Marketing Plan and utilising facilities available through the LWR system
• Implement corporate objectives in sales, standards, and profitability by demonstrating commitment to financial, marketing, and quality plans
• Manage the resort and oversee the day-to-day operations of the resort
