SENIOR PERSONNEL PRACTITIONER: RECRUITMENT & PLANNING

Job Overview

The Pretoria Regional Office is hiring a Senior Personnel Practitioner: Recruitment & Planning. The successful candidate will facilitate recruitment and selection processes, manage staff requisitions, oversee advertising, maintain HR plans, and supervise staff. Requirements include a three-year tertiary qualification or National Diploma in Human Resource Management, relevant recruitment experience, a valid driver's license, and knowledge of PERSAL and public service legislation. Requirements & Qualifications

• A minimum of three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 06) or National Diploma in Human Resource Management or related field of study.
• Appropriate years of working experience in Human Resource Recruitment.
• A valid driver's license.
• Knowledge of standards, practices, processes and procedures related to HR Recruitment.
• Knowledge of the structure and functioning of the Department, Public Service Act and Regulations, Employment Equity Act, PERSAL, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Public Finance Management Act, and Codes of Remuneration.
• Skills in conflict management, project management, numeracy, interpersonal communication, diplomacy, advisory, supervisory, general administration, organization, computer utilization, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and report writing.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Facilitate and implement advertising processes, staff requisitions, and the drafting of advertisements.
• Implement recruitment and selection processes, keep application records, sort applications, and develop applicant profiles.
• Facilitate the invitation of shortlisted applicants and represent Human Resources during shortlisting and interviews.
• Communicate with successful applicants, verify results, certificates, and qualifications, and compile appointment letters.
• Facilitate personal planning requirements, and compile, maintain, and communicate the human resource plan.
• Undertake human resource assessments as prescribed and promote the achievement of employment equity.
• Supervise employees, allocate duties, perform quality control, manage performance, conduct, discipline, training, and development.
