Job Overview

A Senior Labour Relations Officer position is available in Pretoria at the HSRC Building, offering a salary of R413 001 per annum. Requirements include an NQF Level 6 qualification in Labour Relations, 1-2 years of relevant experience, and knowledge of the Public Service Act, Labour Relations Act, and related legislation. Duties involve coordinating labour relations policies, supporting collective bargaining, and representing the department.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A qualification at NQF Level 6, as recognised by SAQA, in Labour Relations
• 1-2 years’ experience in the labour relations field
• Knowledge and understanding of Public Service Act and Regulations
• Knowledge and understanding of the Labour Relation Act
• Knowledge and understanding of PSCBC and PHSDSBC processes and collective agreements
• Knowledge and understanding of RSA Constitution
• Knowledge and understanding of PHSDSBC Constitution and rules
• Knowledge and understanding of POPIA, PAJA and PAIA
• Negotiation skills and conflict management skills
• Computer literacy and people management skills
• Planning, organizing, and communication skills
• Problem-solving, client orientation, and reporting writing skills
• Policy analysis and implementation skills
• Facilitation and presentation skills

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate and facilitate the implementation of Labour Relations policies and procedures
• Render administrative support to collective bargaining
• Represent the department in the national chamber
• Monitor implementation of collective agreements
• Conduct and support capacity-building initiatives on Labour Relations and collective agreements
• Facilitate contact and consultative sessions with various stakeholders
