ROAD SAFETY OFFICER: WEST COAST

Job Overview

The Western Cape Government seeks a Road Safety Officer for the West Coast region (Reference: WCMD 47/2026). Requirements & Qualifications

• An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-Degree or higher qualification) in Education, Communication, Public Relations, Project Management and Social Science
• A minimum of 1-year relevant experience
• A valid code B driving license
• Knowledge of and working experience with legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices relevant to the line functions
• Ability to provide traffic safety education and plan and execute road safety interventions
• Computer literacy and effective communication skills

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Render support with the planning and execution of road safety interventions in the Metro North Region
• Render support with the hosting of road safety interventions in the Metro North Region and provide feedback and solutions to improve service delivery
• Accounting for progress and performance
• Resource and Equipment Management
