CHIEF PROVINCIAL INSPECTOR: TRAFFIC LAW ENFORCEMENT

Job Overview

The Western Cape Mobility Department is seeking a Chief Provincial Inspector for Traffic Law Enforcement (Ref: WCMD 36/2026). This Level 10 position requires an appropriate 3-year National Diploma or B-degree, at least 7 years of traffic law enforcement experience, 3 years of supervisory experience, and a valid (A and EC or higher) driving license. Responsibilities include managing the implementation of the Operational Law Enforcement Plan, providing effective leadership, managing service delivery improvement, and executing managerial functions. Requirements & Qualifications

• An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-degree (equal or higher) qualification
• A minimum of 3 years' supervisory experience
• A minimum of 7 years' working experience in the traffic law enforcement field
• A valid (A and EC or higher) driving license
• Extensive knowledge and understanding of operational functioning of the Directorate Traffic Law Enforcement
• Knowledge of National Road Traffic Act, National Road Traffic Amendment Act, Firearms Control Act, Criminal Procedure Act, and National Road Traffic Regulations
• Knowledge of public finance, Human Resources, and Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
