PROFESSIONAL NURSES (GENERAL NURSING)

Job Overview

The Northern Cape Department of Health is seeking two Professional Nurses (General Nursing) at Askham CHC, ZF Mgcawu Health District. Available across Grades 1, 2, and 3 with salaries ranging from R337 359 to R558 093 per annum depending on experience. Requirements include a basic R425 nursing qualification (diploma/degree) and SANC registration. Experience ranges from none for Grade 1 up to 20 years for Grade 3. Requirements & Qualifications

• Basic R425 qualification (i.e. diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse
• Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse
• For Grade 1: None
• For Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing
• For Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognizable experience in nursing after registration as a Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide direction and supervision for the implementation of the nursing plan including clinical practice and quality patient care
• Implement standards, practices, criteria and indicators for quality nursing
• Practice nursing and health care in accordance with the laws and regulations relevant to nursing and health care
• Maintain a constructive working relationship with nursing and other stakeholders
• Utilize human, material and physical resources efficiently and effectively
