PERSONAL ASSISTANT: ANIMAL HEALTH (ELSENBURG)

Job Overview

Requirements & Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification)
• Accredited secretarial diploma and/or administrative qualification on the level of NQF level 5 or relevant higher tertiary qualification
• Minimum of 3 years experience in rendering secretarial/administrative support services to management/senior management
• Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, prescripts and procedures
• Knowledge of basic financial administration
• Ability to run and maintain a record management system
• Knowledge of procurement of goods and services
• Ability to properly record minutes and decisions at meetings
• Advanced knowledge of relevant software packages
• Computer literacy in MS Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Report writing skills for submissions and letters
• Planning and organising skills
• Research and analytical skills

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide a secretarial/receptionist support service to the manager
• Render administrative support services
• Provide support to the manager regarding meetings
• Support the manager with the administration of the manager's budget
• Study relevant Public Service and departmental prescripts/policies and other documents and ensure proper application thereof
