DEPUTY DIRECTOR: RISK MANAGEMENT

Job Overview

A Deputy Director: Risk Management position is available at Johannesburg Head Office with an all-inclusive remuneration package of R932 292 per annum. Candidates must possess a Matric certificate, an NQF Level 7 undergraduate qualification in Risk Management or a related field, a valid driver's license, and at least 5 years of experience, including 3 years at a supervisory level. Key duties involve managing the risk management framework, conducting risk assessments, maintaining the risk register, and overseeing the Sub Directorate.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Matric
• Undergraduate qualification (NQF level 7) in Risk Management or related field as recognised by SAQA
• Minimum of 5 years of experience
• At least 3 years of experience at supervisory level (ASD)
• A valid driver's license
• Knowledge of Public Service Act and Regulations and relevant legislation
• Knowledge of anti-corruption initiatives and Professional Ethics Infrastructure
• Knowledge of ethics auditing and ethics legal frameworks
• Computer literacy
• Problem solving and analysis skills
• Planning and organizing skills
• Report writing skills
• Communication skills

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage, implement, review and improve the risk management framework
• Undertake studies and analysis to identify risks to establish internal and external organization context
• Manage, facilitate and advise on the risk management assessment process
• Manage, monitor and review the identified risk response activities
• Compile risk profile and ensure that the risk register is maintained
• Compile reports as required
• Facilitate the institutionalization of risk management
• Ensure that risk management philosophy and culture is embedded in the organization
• Manage and undertake capacity development to inform, guide and advise employees on risk management matters
• Manage the Sub Directorate: Risk Management
• Maintenance of discipline and management of performance and development
• Undertake Human Resource and other related administrative functions
• Establish, implement and maintain efficient and effective communication arrangements
• Develop and manage the operational plan of the sub-directorate and report on progress
• Develop, implement and maintain processes to ensure proper control of work
• Compile and submit all required administrative reports
• Serve on transversal task teams as required
• Procurement and asset management for the sub-directorate
• Planning and allocating work and quality control of work delivered by employees
• Provide functional technical advice and guidance
