DEPUTY DIRECTOR: ICT USER SUPPORT

Job Overview

The North West Provincial Government (NWPG) is hiring a Deputy Director: ICT User Support based in Mmabatho. The role earns R932 292 per annum (Level 11) and requires a 3-year tertiary qualification in IT (NQF level 6), ITIL certification, a valid driver's license, and 5 years of ICT experience, including 3 years at Assistant Director level. Responsibilities include managing computer and network support services, desktop support, incident and problem management, software and hardware maintenance, policy development, and team leadership. Requirements & Qualifications

• Three-year appropriate tertiary qualification in Information Technology at NQF level 6 and/or related qualifications
• 5 years of experience in ICT at a medium to large IT environment
• 3 years of experience at Assistant Director Level
• Valid Driver's license
• ITIL Certification
• Knowledge and understanding of ICT frameworks, ITIL processes, government policies and prescripts
• Knowledge of analysing statistical data
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Problem solving, good customer relations, interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence
• People management skills and understanding of working with systems, desktop and network support field

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the computer support services
• Provision of network support services
• Manage end user support services and mobile networking support service
• Manage provision of peripheral device support, installation of software, configuration and network changes
• Develop and maintain ICT end user support policies
• Mentor and develop the team
• Provide technical direction, supervision and leadership to end user support team
• Provide computer software and hardware maintenance and support
• Ensure the availability of end-user support resources
• Manage Incident and Problem management services, analyse statistics and provide solutions
• Track performance statistics, produce reports of calls, and ensure incidents are resolved within SLA
• Participate in ICT projects
