Job Overview

The Western Cape Mobility Department is hiring two Customer Relations Officers based in Vangate (Reference: WCMD 46/2026). Requirements & Qualifications

• An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree or higher qualification
• A minimum of 1-year relevant administrative support experience
• Knowledge and working experience in interpreting and implementing legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies, and best practices
• Experience using information systems supporting knowledge and information management
• Knowledge of the National Land Transport Act (Act No. 5 of 2009) and National Land Amendment Transport Act (Act No. 23 of 2023)
• Knowledge of the Road Transportation Act (Act No. 74 of 1977) and Western Cape Road Transportation Amendment Law Act (Act No. 8 of 1996)
• Ability to manage functions, activities, processes and procedures of a Walk-In-Centre
• Experience processing applications for operating licences
• Knowledge of financial management, monitoring, and reporting procedures
• Familiarity with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
• Competency in computer applications, communication, numeracy, and literacy
