ASSISTANT DIRECTOR (WALK-IN-CENTRE: VANGATE)

Job Overview

Requirements & Qualifications

• An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-Degree or higher qualification) at NQF 6
• A minimum of 5 years' supervisory experience
• Knowledge of and working experience in interpreting and implementing legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices relevant to line functions
• Working experience in administering the National Land Transport Act (Act No. 5 of 2009)
• Working experience in administering the Road Transportation Act (Act No. 74 of 1977)
• Working experience in administering the Western Cape Road Transportation Amendment Law Act (Act No. 8 of 1996)
• Working experience in implementing the National Land Transport Regulations, 2009
• Working experience in managing functions, activities, processes and procedures of a Walk-In-Centre
• Working experience in processing applications for operating licences
• Working experience in financial management, monitoring, reporting procedures, systems and reports of the Directorate
• Knowledge of financial processes in accordance with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), 1999, National Treasury Regulations, and Provincial Treasury Instructions
