ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER: OPERATING LICENCE AND PERMITS (PROCESSING)

Job Overview

The Western Cape Government's Mobility Department is hiring an Administrative Officer for Operating Licence and Permits (Processing) based in the Western Cape. Candidates must hold a 3-year tertiary qualification and have at least 1 year of administrative experience, along with knowledge of the National Land Transport Act. Responsibilities include processing operating license applications, communicating with stakeholders, coordinating committee hearings, utilizing the PTRS system, and performing supervisory functions. Requirements & Qualifications

• An appropriate 3-year tertiary qualification (National Diploma/B-Degree or higher qualification)
• A minimum of 1-year administrative support experience
• Knowledge and understanding of the National Land Transport Act (Act No.5 of 2009)
• Knowledge of applications for operating licenses, preparation of cases for cancellation, renewal notifications, and publication in the Government gazette
• Knowledge of administration, database management, general support systems, and record management
• Knowledge of administrative procedures and processes
• Skills in Numeracy, Literacy, Computer Literacy, Language, Project Management, Accounting, Finance and Audit, Economic, Financial and Statistical Analysis, and Legal Administration
• Abilities in reporting, problem-solving, communication, planning, organising, and research
• Ability to work under pressure with a willingness to work irregular hours and meet tight deadlines

• Render support with the processing of Operating License Applications
• Perform Communication duties
• Coordinate attendance of Committee hearings
• Render effective utilisation of the PTRS System
• Render supervisory functions
