A Tradesman Aid Building (Carpentry) position is available at the Head Office in Cape Town within the Engineering and Technical Support Services Directorate. Responsibilities include carrying out minor maintenance, assisting artisans with carpentry, plumbing, painting, and building tasks, managing tools, and handling emergency breakdowns. Candidates must have a Grade 10 certificate, basic workshop experience, tool-handling skills, physical fitness for manual labor, and knowledge of building regulations and the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Willingness to travel throughout the Western Cape is required.
