SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT CLERK: ASSET MANAGEMENT

Job Overview

The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Western Cape Government, is seeking a Supply Chain Management Clerk: Asset Management. Responsibilities include rendering clerical tasks, maintaining asset registers, assisting with BAS/Logis reconciliations, handling disposals, requesting quotations, and conducting stock-takes. Applicants must possess a Grade 12 certificate, knowledge of SCM and asset management policies, and good communication skills. Requirements & Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification)
• Knowledge of Supply Chain and Asset Management
• Knowledge of Asset Management Guidelines
• Knowledge of supply chain duties, practices, data capturing, computer operation, and collecting statistics
• Knowledge of Preferential Procurement Policy Framework Act (PPPFA) and PPPFA Regulations
• Knowledge of B-BBEE and procurement activities
• Knowledge of asset management policies and procedures
• Knowledge of Document management Enterprise Content Management (ECM), registry services, and governing policies
• Skills in report writing
• Written and verbal communication skills

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Rendering asset management clerical tasks
• Update and maintain asset registers
• Assist with BAS/Logis Monthly Reconciliations
• Identify and administer redundant, non-serviceable and obsolete moveable assets for disposal
• Request and receive quotations in respect of asset acquisitions and disposals
• Monitor, analyse and determine actions to ensure proper asset and disposal management
• Provide support to line function
• Conducting asset verifications (Stock-take)
