STATE ACCOUNTANT: MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTING

Job Overview

A State Accountant: Management Accounting position is available at Head Office in Pretoria (Level 08, Salary R413 001 per annum). Candidates require an appropriate National Diploma in Government Accounting, Cost Accounting or related at NQF Level 6, plus 1 year of experience in Finance (Budget). Requirements & Qualifications

• An appropriate National Diploma in Government Accounting, Cost Accounting or related at NQF Level 6 recognised by SAQA
• Plus 1 year experience in Finance (Budget)
• Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, and Departmental policies and procedures
• Knowledge of Financial and related transversal systems used in government (BAS, Safetyweb, Vulindlela)
• Knowledge of Financial Administration and management accounting
• Financial and accounting skills

• Business letter and report writing skills
• Computer literacy
• Problem solving and innovation skills
• Management and organisational skills
• Project management skills

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Collate financial supporting information for the annual budget planning purpose (MTEF/ENE)
• In-year Budget process - prepare and capture budget information
• Cash flow management (Drawings and against the NRF)
• Perform supervisory functions
