SENIOR PERSONNEL PRACTITIONER (AG QUERIES AND TRANSVERSAL EMPLOYMENT MATTERS)

Job Overview

A Senior Personnel Practitioner (AG Queries and Transversal Employment Matters) is required at Head Office, Cape Town, with a salary of R413 001 per annum. The role involves coordinating Auditor General audits, administering HR compliance tools, handling complaints, and providing training and advice on transversal HR matters. Candidates must possess a National Diploma (NQF 6) in People Management or a related field, relevant experience, a valid driver's license, PERSAL knowledge, and strong communication skills.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum educational qualifications: An appropriate National Diploma (NQF 6) or equivalent in People Management (PM) or related field.
• Appropriate experience of People Management practices including all conditions of service and benefits and other transversal related functions.
• A valid Code B/EB drivers’ license and willingness to travel.
• Ability to identify irregularities in the application of People Management policies with the Department through analytical thinking.
• Ability to function independently as well as in a team.
• Computer Skills: extensive knowledge of PERSAL and MS Office packages.
• Good Verbal and Written Communication and Interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with the co-ordination and administration of the annual People Management and Transversal Matters Auditor General Audits for the Department.
• Responsible for the administration of the HR Compliance Monitoring Tools and preparation of quarterly response received from institutions, sub structures, regions and districts for the Western Cape Audit Committee.
• Handle telephonic and written complaints and enquiries on service conditions and benefits such as housing and pension administration.
• Assist with training and information on Transversal Employment Matters to various institutions/ districts/ regions and or sub structures.
• Assist, investigate and advise on enquiries/ grievances related to transversal People Management (HR) employment matters.
• Render advice and support to line managers on various PM/HR transversal matters.
