ORGANISATIONAL DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST

Job Overview

An Organisational Development Specialist is required in Bloemfontein (Level 09, R487 197 per annum). Applicants need an NQF Level 7 degree in Organisational Development or business administration with an OD focus, 3-4 years of OD experience, business process mapping, and JE certifications. Responsibilities include developing and maintaining organograms, reviewing norms and standards, conducting job evaluations, advising on job descriptions, and managing resources. Requirements & Qualifications

• An appropriate Degree (NQF Level 7) in Organisational Development and/or business administration with an OD focus
• 3-4 years’ experience in OD environment
• Certificate in business process mapping
• JE initial and Follow-up training certificate
• JE Panel certificate
• Knowledge of setting of norms and standards, knowledge of the department, cost benefit analysis, hr practice, compilation of job descriptions, relevant legislations and policies, general office administration practice, PERSAL, job evaluation processes, compensate system
• Working knowledge of Org- Plus/ Visio, Structure Costing Models and BPM & SOP Techniques
• Computer literacy
• Valid driver’s license

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the organogram/s, analyse current departmental organogram, identify needs/gaps, and conduct research to ensure alignment to approved specific sector generic structures
• Consult with relevant stakeholders to source inputs/buy-in, compile proposed organograms, provide timeous feedback, and partake in implementation, monitoring and evaluation
• Develop, review and analyse norms and standards, assess shortcomings, draft norms and standards, and monitor implementation
• Conduct job evaluation on identified/prioritized jobs, collect required information, conduct job analysis interviews, and capture information into the JE System
• Present evaluated jobs to the Quality Assurance Committee / Panel, compile submissions for implementation approval, and keep records on evaluated jobs
• Provide advice on the development of job descriptions, conduct research, benchmark with other departments/provinces, and conduct interviews with designated officials
• Manage resources to ensure component objectives are achieved, including staff management, performance management, training facilitation, and asset management
