Job Overview

The Western Cape Government's Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport is hiring a MOD Programme Officer (Ref No: CAS 28/2026). This Level 07 position offers a salary between R338 106 and R398 277 per annum. Requirements include a 3-year National Diploma or B-Degree and at least 1 year of relevant experience. Responsibilities involve administering the establishment, implementation, and planning of MOD Centres, coordinating monitoring and evaluation, and providing governance support.

Requirements & Qualifications

• An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equal or higher qualification).
• A minimum of 1-year relevant experience.
• Knowledge of and working experience with legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices.
• Knowledge of information systems, project management, operational management practices, and procurement processes.
• Understanding of public finance, human resources, Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), and Treasury Regulations.
• Numeracy, literacy, computer literacy, and language skills.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Administer the establishment and implementation of MOD Centres in line with the correct processes and procedures.
• Administer the planning, identification and confirmation of MOD Centres within the Western Cape.
• Coordinate reporting, communication, monitoring and evaluation.
• Provide guidance, support and administrative assistance to staff on governance-related matters and contribute to mentoring initiatives.
