Requirements & Qualifications

• A Senior/Grade 12 Certificate or relevant qualification.
• Knowledge of Human Resources functions and practices.
• Ability to capture data, operate computer, and collate administrative statistics.
• Basic knowledge and insight of Human Resources prescripts.
• Knowledge of financial operating systems (PERSAL).
• Knowledge of registry duties and practices.
• Working knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service.
• Flexibility and basic knowledge of problem-solving analysis.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Facilitate recruitment and selection including advertisements, appointments, transfers, qualification verification, secretariat functions at interviews, absorptions, and probationary periods.
• Implement conditions of service such as leave, housing, medical, pension, allowances, and PILIR.
• Manage performance management processes.
• Handle termination of services.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders in relation to recruitment and selection.
• Implement appointments on the HR System (PERSAL).
• Keep filing records and the HR personnel filing system up to date.
• Ensure that personal files of employees are issued to relevant managers on request and received back as per HR policies.
• Compile reports of the movement of personnel files.
