Job Overview

The Department of Small Business Development is hiring a Food Service Aid based in Pretoria. The successful candidate will be responsible for cleaning kitchen equipment, providing catering support services, preparing food and beverages, managing boardroom bookings, and applying hygiene and safety measures. Requirements include an NQF level 1 or 2 (Abet level 2 certificate or equivalent), basic food preparation knowledge, hygiene principles, and the ability to operate food service equipment. Requirements & Qualifications

• Ability to read and write

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Clean and keep stock of kitchen utensils and equipment
• Provide catering support services including preparing food, snacks, and beverages
• Confirm and update boardroom bookings
• Serve food and beverages
• Manage food supplies, report waste and losses, and maintain quality control measures
• Apply hygiene and safety measures
• Manage cleaning materials and supplies
• Handle garbage disposal and removal
