Job Overview

Central Johannesburg TVET College invites applications for a Finance Clerk position based at the Central Office in Johannesburg. Requirements & Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Senior Certificate or equivalent.
• A three (3) year National Diploma / bachelor's degree in financial management, Accounting, or related qualification.
• At least 1 year of experience in a finance or accounting related field.
• Basic understanding of financial functions, practices, and ability to capture data, operate computer, and collate financial information.
• Basic knowledge of Public Service financial legislations, procedures, and Treasury Regulations (PFMA, GRAP, CET ACT 16 OF 2006).
• Knowledge of basic financial principles and procedures.
• Ability to perform adequately and methodically under pressure.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office suite.
• Knowledge of ITS will be an added advantage.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Maintain up-to-date records for both receivables and payables.
• Maintain a systematic and accurate filing system for all financial documentation, including invoices, receipts, and payment records.
• Work closely with the finance team, registrar's office, and procurement departments to ensure smooth operations and timely processing of financial transactions.
• Provide necessary documentation and support during internal and external audits related to accounts receivable and payable.
