DEPUTY DIRECTOR: PROPERTY DISPOSALS

Job Overview

The Cape Town Regional Office is hiring a Deputy Director: Property Disposals on an all-inclusive salary package of R1 101 468 per annum. The ideal candidate must possess an NQF Level 6 qualification in Real Estate Management, Town Planning, Property Development, Law, or a related field, alongside junior management experience. Key responsibilities include implementing property management policies, managing the disposal of redundant residential properties, coordinating with the PSLDVC, overseeing conveyancing processes, and managing the sub-directorate's financial and human resources.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A minimum of three-year tertiary qualification (NQF Level 06) or National Diploma in Real Estate Management, Town Planning, Property Development and Management, Law Degree or related field of study
• Relevant years of experience at a junior management level (Assistant Director equivalent)
• Valid driver's license
• Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Financial administration, Procurement directives and procedures, Programme and project planning, Reporting procedures, GIAMA, Disposal Act, Deeds Registry Act, Financial Assistance Land Act (FALA), BBBEE, and Treasury Regulations
• Skills in report writing, accounts and numeric analysis, analytical thinking, communication, interpersonal relations, problem solving, organizing, and planning

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain property management policies, procedures and strategies
• Ensure compliance with related prescripts, delegations and procedures
• Manage the disposal process of redundant and superfluous residential properties
• Facilitate and coordinate the submission and presentation of Disposal applications at the Provincial State Land Disposal and Vesting Committee (PSLDVC)
• Contribute towards enhancing effective and efficient state property management including conveyancing and disposal from PMIS
• Ensure completion of conveyance processes in respect of all properties approved for disposal and released by Ministry of DPW&I
• Manage the Sub-directorate including discipline, performance, operational planning, procurement, and financial resources
