Job Overview

A Deputy Director: Financial Services position is available at Head Office in Mbombela, offering an all-inclusive remuneration package of R932 292 per annum. Applicants must hold an NQF 7 degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Economics, accompanied by five years of relevant post-qualification experience, computer literacy, and a valid driver's license. The successful candidate will direct financial management and supply chain management functions for infrastructure projects, analyse financial information, prepare financial reports, and oversee budget administration. Shortlisted candidates will undergo pre-entry practical and integrity assessments.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Appropriate degree (NQF 7) in Commerce, Accounting, or Economics
• Five (5) years of relevant post-qualification experience
• Computer literacy
• Understanding of financial management as implemented in government and within the context of infrastructure budgeting and spending
• Valid driver's license
• Willingness to undertake two pre-entry assessments including a practical technical exercise and an integrity assessment for SMS

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Give direction to and coordinate all Financial Management functions for the Chief Directorate
• Manage financial issues and supply chain management issues pertaining to infrastructure projects and programmes
• Extract, analyse and validate financial information for infrastructure projects and programmes
• Provide financial administration services for all infrastructure programmes and projects
• Prepare financial reports
• Provide budget administration services
• Update and maintain a document management system for all financial documentation
