DEPUTY DIRECTOR: AUXILIARY SERVICES

Job Overview

A Deputy Director: Auxiliary Services position is available at Head Office under reference DSD08/08/2026HO with an all-inclusive salary package of R932 292 per annum. Applicants must possess a National Diploma in Public Management, Public Administration, Business/Operations Management, Facilities Management, or Logistics Management, alongside at least 3 years of junior management experience. Responsibilities include managing records and information services, office and auxiliary services, fleet management, and developing service delivery policies. A valid driver's license is required.

Requirements & Qualifications

• National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Public Management, Public Administration, Business / Operations Management, Facilities Management and Logistics Management.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience at junior management level managing multiple operational support functions including auxiliary services, facilities/operations, logistics, fleet and transport, records and information, public-sector administration and/or government operational support services.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Knowledge of Public Sector Governance and Financial Management (Constitution of South Africa, Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations, PFMA, Treasury Regulations, POPIA, PAIA, Occupational Health and Safety Act, budgeting and expenditure management).
• Knowledge of Records and Information Management (National Records Services & Archives Act, Electronic records management, Information governance and compliance, Digital transformation practices, record security).
• Knowledge of Fleet, Facilities and rental management, Contract, Risk and Service Provider management, and Operational performance and business improvement.
• Skills in strategic and operations management, financial, contract and risk management, analytical, problem-solving, leadership, communication, stakeholder management, digital, change and service delivery management, computer literacy, and project management.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the provision of records and information management services.
• Develop and implement records and information Classification System in line with the Provisions of National Records Services & Archives Act.
• Implement systematic disposal programme for Departmental records.
• Manage digital transformation in records and information management.
• Manage the provision of the office and auxiliary services.
• Manage the provision of fleet management.
• Develop policies and strategies aimed at improving service delivery.
• Manage Resources of the Sub-Directorate.
