Job Overview

Chief Directorate: Metro Health Services is hiring two Clinical Nurse Practitioners (Primary Health Care) across Delft CHC and Fisantekraal CDC. Grade 1 offers R495,423 per annum with 4+ years of experience, while Grade 2 offers R607,350 per annum with 14+ years of experience. Requirements include a basic nursing qualification, SANC registration as a Professional Nurse, and a post-basic qualification in Clinical Nursing Science or Primary Care Nursing. Responsibilities encompass primary healthcare delivery, curative services, management of HAST programmes, and child and women's health.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent allowing registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse.
• A post-basic qualification with a duration of at least a 1-year diploma in Clinical Nursing Science: Health Assessment, Treatment and Care accredited with SANC, OR a 4-year bachelor's degree in nursing, OR a postgraduate diploma in Primary Care Nursing accredited with SANC.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse.
• Grade 1: Minimum of 4 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing.
• Grade 2: Minimum of 14 years appropriate/recognisable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing, with at least 10 years in the specific specialty after obtaining the one-year post-basic qualification.
• Willingness to work after hours and rotate within the facility.
• NIMART training or experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of nursing Code of Ethics, Professional Practice of SANC, Standard of Practice, and scope of practice.
• Computer literate in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and MS Outlook.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Treatment of patients on Primary Health Care level regarding Curative Services, Communicable Diseases, Mental Health, and Chronic Diseases within the scope of practice.
• Render effective child and school health services, including the integration of nutritional services.
• Render effective Women's Health including Antenatal services.
• Assist with management and execution of all relevant HAST Programmes (TB, STI, and HIV/AIDS).
• Work as part of the multi-disciplinary team to ensure quality, promotive, preventive, and curative Primary Health Care delivery.
• Act as an advocate for patients to ensure the provision of necessary quality health care.
