CHIEF SECURITY OFFICER

Job Overview

The Mmabatho Provincial Office is hiring a Chief Security Officer on a one-year contract with a salary of R338 106 per annum plus 37% in lieu of benefits. Applicants must hold a 3-year National Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Security/Security Risk Management, a Grade B Security Certificate, PSIRA registration, and one year of relevant administrative experience. Duties include monitoring safety and assets, administering access control, managing control rooms, and providing administrative support.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Three (3) year National Diploma (NQF 6) / Undergraduate Bachelor Degree (NQF 7) in Security / Security Risk Management
• Grade B Security Certificate
• PSIRA registration
• One-year functional clerical / administrative experience in Security Training Services or Security Management Services
• Knowledge of Departmental Policies and Procedures, Criminal Procedure Act, Tender Procedures, Safety and Security, Damage and Loss control, Supply Chain Management, Accommodation procedures, National Strategic Intelligence Act, National Key points Act, Firearms control Act, OHS Act, Access to Public premises and Vehicle Act, Public Finance Management Act, Labour Relations Act, and Basic Conditions of Employment Act

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor the safety of officials and assets in the Department
• Administer access control to the building
• Manage control room and key control
• Provide administration support services for the sub-directorate
• Perform security standby and after-hours inspection
• Manage resources within the division
