ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: INTERNAL CONTROL (GOVERNANCE)

Job Overview

The Western Cape Mobility Department seeks an Assistant Director: Internal Control (Governance) at Salary Level 09 (R487 197 - R573 897 per annum). Requirements & Qualifications

• An appropriate 3-year B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification)
• A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in an internal control and governance working environment
• Knowledge and understanding of legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices bearing on line functions
• Knowledge of external audit processes by AGSA
• Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act, 1999, National Treasury Regulations, and Provincial Treasury Instructions
• Skills in numeracy, literacy, and computer literacy
• Written and verbal communication skills
• Project Management, Accounting, Finance and Audit, and Finance Management skills
• Conflict Management and Risk Management skills
• Planning, organising, monitoring and evaluation skills
• Decision-making, problem-solving, report writing, investigations, and interpretation skills
• Ability to work under pressure, willingness to work irregular hours, and meet tight deadlines
