ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: HOUSING FUNDS RECONCILIATION

Job Overview

An Assistant Director: Housing Funds Reconciliation position is available in Durban with a salary of R487 197 per annum (Level 09). Applicants must hold a Degree or National Diploma in Accounting and Financial Management, at least 5 years of financial management experience, 3 years of supervisory experience, and a valid driver's license. Requirements & Qualifications

• Degree or National Diploma in Accounting and Financial Management
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Financial Management
• Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience
• A valid driver's license
• Knowledge of Public Service and Public Service Regulations
• Knowledge of Public Finance Act and MFMA
• Knowledge of Housing Policies and Regulations and White Paper in housing
• Knowledge of Basic Accounting Principles, GAAP, and GRAP
• Knowledge of Treasury Regulations and Labour Relations
• Knowledge of Project Management and Constitution of Republic of South Africa
• Knowledge of Promotion of Access to Information Act

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor the Municipal Housing Operating Accounts (MHOA) held at Municipality
• Monitor funds trenched to Municipality and Entities
• Facilitate financial close out projects
• Provide advice, guidance, and input to policy
• Manage effective and efficient financial and human resources of the component to ensure achievement of objectives
