ACCOUNTING CLERK: ASSURANCE SERVICES

Job Overview

The Department of Cultural Affairs and Sport, Western Cape Government, is hiring an Accounting Clerk: Assurance Services (Ref No: CAS 23/2026) at a salary range of R237 453 - R279 708 per annum (Level 05). Requirements & Qualifications

• Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification)
• Basic knowledge of financial functions, practices, data capture, computer operation, and financial statistics collation
• Insight into Public Service financial legislations, procedures and Treasury regulations including PFMA, DORA, PSA, PSR, and PPPFA
• Knowledge of financial operating systems including PERSAL, BAS, and LOGIS
• Numeracy and literacy skills
• Language and computer skills
• Planning and organisation skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to perform routine tasks and operate office equipment

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Render clerical support services with regard to assurance services, and governance, fraud and losses management services
• Perform general administrative tasks within the Internal Control unit
• Perform Financial Accounting and Salary Administration support services
• Perform bookkeeping and budget support services
