SUPPLY CHAIN CLERK (SUPERVISOR)

Job Overview

St Margaret's CHC in Umzimkhulu is looking for a Supply Chain Clerk (Supervisor) to manage procurement, demand, logistics, asset control, and stock levels. Responsibilities include staff supervision, contract management, compiling reports, and implementing HR and SCM prescripts. Candidates need a Grade 12 certificate, 3-5 years of experience, a valid driver's licence, and computer literacy. Applications must be submitted on form Z83 along with a CV.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Grade 12 Certificate / Standard 10 or Equivalent
• 3-5 years of relevant experience
• Valid Driver's licence code 08/10
• Computer Literacy in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, and MS PowerPoint
• Knowledge and understanding of Public Finance Management Service, Treasury Regulations, and Supply Chain Management
• Knowledge of HR prescripts, policies, and the legislative framework governing the Public Service
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Planning and organising skills

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Oversee SCM department such as acquisition, demand, logistics, and assets control
• Provide for Human resource management, such as implementing in-service training and development programmes
• Monitor staff performance and conduct staff EPMDS
• Plan and organise resources effectively to ensure optimal utilisation
• Ensure management of assets such as asset register, barcoding, and disposal of condemned assets
• Ensure proper management of contracts including monitoring and monthly payments
• Compile monthly and quarterly reports and submit to the Head Office
• Oversee management of stock levels and proper storage according to stock management procedures
• Ensure stock taking is conducted on a quarterly basis at stores
• Monitor, train, and supervise SCM staff members
