Job Overview

A Supply Chain Clerk Supervisor position is available in Cape Town, Western Cape within Financial and Supply Chain Management Services, offering a salary of R338 106 per annum (Level 07). Requirements & Qualifications

• Grade 12 Certificate or relevant equivalent qualification
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
• Basic knowledge of supply chain duties, practice, data capture, computer operation, and statistics collection
• Basic knowledge and understanding of the legislative framework governing the Public Service
• Basic knowledge of work procedures in terms of the working environment
• Planning and organisation skills
• Computer literacy including supply chain management systems
• Good communication skills in verbal and written formats
• Interpersonal relations skills
• Language and flexibility skills

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise and render asset management clerical services
• Oversee the compilation and maintenance of records
• Verify the issuing of equipment and accessories to components and individuals in need
• Identify redundant, non-serviceable and obsolete equipment for disposal
• Oversee the verification of the asset register
• Supervise and render demand and acquisition clerical services
• Update and maintain supplier and contractor database
• Ensure suppliers are captured and registered on systems
• Request and receive quotations and capture specifications on electronic purchasing systems
• Ensure all orders are placed on time, issue and receive bid documents
• Provide secretariat or logistical support during bid consideration and contract conclusions
• Supervise and undertake logistical support services including checking, placing, and verifying orders for goods
• Receive and verify goods from suppliers, capturing them in registers and databases
• Receive requests for goods from end users, issue goods, and maintain goods registers
• Supervise human resources and staff, allocate and ensure quality of work, perform personnel development and assess performance, and apply discipline
