STATE ACCOUNTANT

Job Overview

The Mzimvubu Tsitsikamma Catchment Management Agency is seeking a State Accountant based in Kugompo with a salary of R338 106 per annum (Level 07). Candidates must hold a National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Financial Management or Financial Information Systems, backed by one year of relevant experience. Key duties include managing SAP user profiles, access requests, risk analysis reporting, and month-end controls.

Requirements & Qualifications

• A National Diploma (NQF level 6) in Financial Management or Financial Information Systems.
• One (1) year relevant experience.
• Knowledge and understanding of financial legislation, policies, practices and procedures.
• Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology related frameworks.
• Knowledge of SAP authorizations and governance risk and compliance system.
• Knowledge of equal opportunities and affirmative action guidelines and laws.
• Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems.
• Departmental policies and procedures.
• Knowledge of learning and teaching procedures and techniques.
• Framework for managing performance information.
• Knowledge of implementing policies on PMDS.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Obtain SAP access request forms from users and check them to ensure approval.
• Create user profiles on the system and assign users to user profiles.
• Collect user list in all user group information and allocate users to relevant user groups.
• Receive users access request forms and ensure they are signed.
• Assign access to users and ensure relevant documents are available before approval.
• Run risk analysis reports and inform management about risks.
• Facilitate risk acceptance sign offs.
• Do difficult enquiries on the system and request reports.
• Perform month end controls.
