Job Overview

The Unemployment Insurance Fund in Pretoria is hiring two Senior State Accountants on a three-year contract offering R413 001 per annum plus 37% in lieu of benefits. Requirements & Qualifications

• An undergraduate qualification in Accounting, Cost and Management Accounting, Financial Management, Public Finance Management, Business Management, Economics, or Auditing at NQF Level 6 as recognised by SAQA.
• Two (2) years’ experience in a Finance environment.
• Knowledge of Generally Recognised Accounting Principles (GRAP).
• Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Knowledge of Batho Pele Principles.
• Knowledge of Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA), Unemployment Insurance Act (UIA), and Unemployment Insurance Contributions Act (UICA).
• Knowledge of financial delegations, processes, and policies of UIF.
• Knowledge of Financial Management Principles and Financial Management Directives from the Treasury.
• Skills in Financial Management, Communication, Training and Coaching, Diversity Management, Problem Solving, Computer Literacy, Time Management, Report Writing, Planning and Organising, Analytical, Numeracy, Presentation, and Interpersonal.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Process daily payment of approved benefit claims to eligible beneficiaries.
• Verification of open vouchers.
• Provide information for financial reports on benefits payments.
• Verify beneficiary claims.
• Supervise resources in the Sub-Directorate.
