SCIENTIFIC MANAGER: INFORMATION AND ANALYTICAL SERVICES (ELSENBURG)

Job Overview

The Department of Agriculture, Western Cape Government, is hiring a Scientific Manager for Information and Analytical Services based in Elsenburg. Requirements & Qualifications

• An appropriate MSc degree in Meteorology, Environmental Science, or Geoscience
• Compulsory and valid registration with the SACNASP as a Professional Natural Scientist in the appropriate field of practice
• A minimum of 6 years post qualification natural scientific experience
• A valid code B driving license
• Knowledge of applicable policies, legislation, guidelines, standards, procedures and best practices
• Knowledge of management principles, statistical information, Public Service Regulatory Framework, and People Management processes
• Knowledge of project management and the Public Financial Management Act (PFMA) and its Regulations
• Skills in written and verbal communication, interpersonal relations, analysis, planning and organising
• Skills in motivation, policy formulation, presentation/facilitation, financial management, people management, and problem solving
