Job Overview

ID Hospital, West Coast TB Centre (Malmesbury) is hiring Nursing Assistants (Grade 1 to 3) for Chronic Ward 2 within the Cape Winelands Health District. Salaries range from R181 230 to R249 141 per annum based on experience. Candidates must be registered with the SANC as a Nursing Assistant or provide proof of application. Responsibilities include patient physical care, elementary clinical nursing, and multidisciplinary teamwork. Flexibility for shift work is required.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Qualification that allows registration with South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Assistant.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nursing Assistant (or proof of application for registration).
• Grade 1: None experience required.
• Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognisable experience after registration with the SANC as Nursing Assistant.
• Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years appropriate/recognisable experience after registration with the SANC as Nursing Assistant.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, public holidays, night duty, and overtime when necessary.
• Willingness to work in all wards.
• Ability to work in the multidisciplinary team.
• Good communication and interpersonal relationships.
• Knowledge of relevant nursing legislation, policies and protocols of the Department of Health, Western Cape.
• Ability to accept accountability and responsibility.
