ICT SPECIALIST (BUSINESS ANALYST)

Job Overview

The Department seeks an ICT Specialist (Business Analyst) based in Pretoria, Gauteng, offering an all-inclusive MMS remuneration package of R932 292 per annum. Requirements include a Grade 12 certificate, a National Diploma in Computer Science or Information Technology (NQF level 6), and at least 3 years of supervisory experience in business case and BRS development. Responsibilities involve coordinating business needs analysis, mapping business processes, preparing business cases, developing Master Systems/ICT Plans, and performing gap analyses. Requirements & Qualifications

• Grade 12 certificate
• National Diploma in Computer Science / Information Technology (NQF level 6)
• Minimum of 3 years supervisory experience in business case and business requirement specification (BRS) development
• Job related knowledge in Business Process Re-engineering (6 SIGMA), Business System Analysis, Business Process Modelling (IDEF, BPEL, BPML)
• Knowledge of Functional design and user requirement specifications (UML), Business case development, Basic finance and accounting
• Understanding of the Application Development Process (SDLC)
• Working knowledge of BPM Toolsets such as Case Wise or ARIS
• Job related skills including computer literacy, presentation skills, communication skills, project management skills, and planning and organising skills
• A valid driver’s license

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Prepare solution validation assessment and develop Master Systems/ICT Plans
• Conduct evaluation of existing ICT environment and perform Gap Analysis
• Identify, evaluate and recommend future state technologies to modernize ICT environment
• Draft, review, confirm, and circulate Master Systems Plan for sign-off
• Co-ordinate and manage the analysis of business needs, user requirements, objectives and goals for ICT programmes/projects
• Prepare for requirements elicitation and conduct JAD sessions
• Map business processes, audit business systems, map As-Is and To-Be business processes, and conduct Gap-Analysis
• Prepare business cases for systems development programmes/projects
• Perform transversal business systems analysis, assess requirements against transversal systems, and assess organisational readiness
