Job Overview

A Driver position (Level 03) is available at Waterberg district: Modimolle Building Maintenance. Responsibilities include driving light and medium motor vehicles to transport passengers and deliver items like mail and documents, performing routine vehicle maintenance, reporting defects, and maintaining accurate logbooks. Requirements include a Grade 10 qualification or NQF Level 04, a valid driver's license with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP), and 7 to 12 months of driving experience, alongside communication skills and confidentiality.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Grade 10 qualifications or a qualification at NQF Level 04 as recognized by SAQA.
• A valid driver’s license with Professional Driving Permit (PDP).
• Seven (7) to twelve (12) months driving experience.
• Knowledge of procedures to operate the motor vehicle e.g. procedures to obtain trip authorities, complete the logbooks, consumables and basic services.
• Knowledge of prescripts for the correct utilisation of the motor vehicle and procedures to ensure proper maintenance.
• Confidentiality, flexibility, good communication skills, and a high standard of workmanship.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Drive light and medium motor vehicles to transport passengers and deliver other items such as mail and documents.
• Perform routine maintenance on the allocated vehicle and report defects timely.
• Complete all required and prescribed records and log books with regard to the vehicle and the goods handled.
