Job Overview

The Uthukela District Office is hiring a Diagnostic Radiographer for the TB Conditional Grant component. Positions are available across Grades 1 to 3 with corresponding salary scales and experience requirements ranging from entry-level post-community service to 20+ years. Candidates must be registered with the HPCSA, possess sound knowledge of diagnostic radiography procedures, computed tomography, fluoroscopy, and radiation control. Duties involve providing a 24-hour radiographic service, promoting optimal patient care, and complying with safety standards. Requirements & Qualifications

• Registration with the HPCSA as a Diagnostic Radiographer
• Grade 1: Nil experience after community service for RSA qualified, or appropriate experience for foreign qualified
• Grade 2: Minimum of 10 years appropriate/recognizable experience after registration with the HPCSA
• Grade 3: Minimum of 20 years (RSA qualified) or 21 years (foreign qualified) appropriate/recognizable experience after registration with the HPCSA
• Sound knowledge of diagnostic Radiography procedures, including computed tomography and fluoroscopy, and equipment
• Sound knowledge of radiation control and safety measures
• Computer literacy
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety Acts
• Ability to communicate effectively and problem-solving skills
• Good interpersonal relations and ability to perform well within a team
• Ability to perform basic quality assurance tests

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Provide high quality Diagnostic Radiographic service according to patient needs
• Promote good health practices and ensure optimal care of patients
• Execute all clinical procedures completely to prevent complications
• Provide a 24-hour radiographic service including weekends and public holidays
• Perform reception and clerical duties as required
• Compile reports as required in working environment
• Comply with safe radiation protection standards
• Contribute to the overall work process in the component
