Job Overview

A Deputy Director: Financial Services (Infrastructure/DORA) position is available at the Head Office in Mbombela, offering an all-inclusive remuneration package of R932 292 per annum. Requirements include an NQF 7 degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Economics, five years of relevant post-qualification experience, computer literacy, and a valid driver's license. The successful candidate will coordinate financial management and supply chain management functions for infrastructure projects, prepare financial reports, and manage budgets. Shortlisted candidates must undergo technical and integrity pre-entry assessments.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Appropriate degree (NQF 7) in Commerce, Accounting, or Economics
• Five (5) years of relevant post-qualification experience
• Computer literacy
• Understanding of financial management as implemented in government and within the context of infrastructure budgeting and spending
• Valid driver’s license
• Willingness to undergo two pre-entry assessments (practical technical exercise and integrity assessment) for shortlisted candidates

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Give direction to and coordinate all Financial Management functions for the Chief Directorate
• Handle all financial and supply chain management issues pertaining to infrastructure projects and programmes
• Extract, analyse and validate financial information for infrastructure projects and programmes
• Provide financial administration services for all infrastructure programmes and projects
• Prepare financial reports
• Provide budget administration services
• Update and maintain a document management system for all financial documentation
