Job Overview

A Community Development Worker position is available in Ophongolo at Level 06 with a salary of R280 278 per annum. Requirements & Qualifications

• Senior Certificate/Grade 12
• No relevant experience required
• A qualification in Community Development Work will be an added advantage
• Experience in Community Development Work including volunteering will be an added advantage
• Sound knowledge of Community Development
• Knowledge of Municipal structures and Government services
• Report writing skills
• Interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer literacy

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Liaise, co-ordinate, mobilize, inform and assist communities with access to services provided by government
• Assist communities to identify and communicate their needs to Government at National, Provincial and Local Government level
• Determine the needs of communities and coordinate these needs to the relevant government structures
• Co-ordinate the collation of information
• Keep records of all services rendered by government and the processes and mechanisms to access those services
• Promote networks and enhance the activities of existing local governance structures and other stakeholders aimed at improved service delivery
• Inform and assist communities with access to the services provided by government structures
