Job Overview

Uthukela District Office is hiring a Clinical Programme Coordinator (MNCWH) under reference UTHUK 08/2026. The position offers a salary range of R571 161 to R644 613 per annum plus benefits. Applicants must possess a Grade 12 certificate, a degree or diploma in nursing, registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse and Midwife/Accoucheur, a valid C1 driver's licence, and at least 7 years of nursing experience. Responsibilities include developing MNCWH plans, coordinating maternal and child health programmes, managing project resources, and ensuring policy implementation.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Matric / Grade 12
• An appropriate B Degree / National Diploma or equivalent qualification in Nursing
• Minimum of 7 years appropriate / recognizable nursing experience after registration as a professional Nurse with SANC in General Nursing
• Registration as Midwife / Accoucheur with SANC
• Valid Driver's License - C1
• Diploma in advanced Midwifery and neonatal nursing will be an added advantage
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Presentation / Facilitation skills
• Knowledge of HIV and AIDS Comprehensive plan
• Knowledge of District Health Systems
• Knowledge of relevant regulation and policies
• Financial and Project Management skills

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Develop MNCWH plan in line with District & project strategic plans
• Co-ordinate and promote MNCWH and Phila Mntwana Programme
• Co-ordinate and facilitate MNCWH and Phila Mntwana in-service Training
• Ensure integration of maternal and child in health programmes
• Monitor indicators which measure health practices, provide support and guidance to health facilities and report findings to District management Team
• Manage all resources allocated to MNCWH and Phila Mntwana Project
• Implement and coordinate Maternal and Child Health Care Services in Hospital
• Facilitate and conduct perinatal mortality meetings
• Manage and supervise the implementation of AI obstetric programmes PMTCT etc.
• Review current policies and develop and implement new policies and protocols in line with realizing the millennium goals
