CLINICAL NURSE PRACTITIONER-PRIMARY HEALTH CARE

Job Overview

The Northern Cape Department of Health is seeking two Clinical Nurse Practitioners for Primary Health Care at Lutzburg Clinic within the ZF Mgcawu District under reference NCDOH 82/2026. The role requires a basic R425 nursing qualification, a post-basic qualification in Clinical Nursing Science, Health Assessment and Treatment (PHC), current SANC registration, and relevant nursing experience ranging from 4 to 14 years depending on the grade. Responsibilities include comprehensive community health care, administrative, educational, and clinical services, equipment usage, and research. Requirements & Qualifications

• Basic R425 qualification (diploma/degree in nursing) or equivalent allowing registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse.
• A post-basic nursing qualification, with a duration of at least 1 year, accredited with SANC in Clinical Nursing Science, Health Assessment and Treatment (PHC).
• Registration with the SANC as a Professional Nurse.
• Grade 1 Experience: Minimum of 4 years appropriate/recognizable nursing experience after registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse in General Nursing.
• Grade 2 Experience: Minimum of 14 years appropriate/recognizable nursing experience after registration with SANC as a Professional Nurse in General Nursing.
• At least 10 years of the required experience must be after obtaining the 1-year post-basic qualification in Clinical Nursing Science: Health Assessment, Treatment and Care (R48).
