Job Overview

The Department of Social Services at Khanyani CYCC in Amajuba District is hiring a Child and Youth Care Team Leader at Grade 1 (R211 899 per annum). Requirements & Qualifications

• National Diploma (NQF Level 6) in Child and Youth Care Development
• Registration with the South African Council for Social Services Professions (SACSSP) as a Child and Youth Care Worker
• A minimum of 7 years’ experience in Child and Youth Care work
• Knowledge of Public Service Act, Public Service Regulations, Batho-Pele principles, The Children’s Act, and Child Care Act
• Knowledge of children rights principles, standard operating procedures on routine programmes, and developmental approach to therapeutic work
• Understanding of basic needs of children and youth, developmental programmes, and lifespan development theories
• Skills in communication, problem-solving, interpersonal relations, organizing, counselling, computer literacy, numeracy, and language
