ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: HUMAN RESOURCE TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT

Job Overview

The Department of Social Development is seeking an Assistant Director: Human Resource Training & Development based at Head Office in Polokwane. The role offers a salary of R487 197 per annum (Level 09). Key responsibilities include coordinating training, learnerships, internships, and bursary management services. Requirements include an NQF level 6 qualification in HR Management/Development and 3 years of supervisory experience.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Grade 12
• Appropriate qualification at NQF level 6 in Human Resource Management / Development or equivalent as recognised by SAQA
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience on lower management / supervisory level in HRT&D or PMDS
• Valid motor vehicle driver’s licence (with the exception of persons with disabilities)
• Knowledge of Public Service Regulations, Acts, policies and procedures
• Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
• Knowledge of The White Paper on the Transformation of the Public Service of 1997
• Good communication and listening skills
• Good interpersonal relationship and ability to handle pressure
• Conflict management, policy analysis, and report writing skills
• Problem analysis, analytical thinking, honesty, confidentiality, customer care, and presentation skills

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Coordinate training and capacity development initiatives
• Manage institutional relationship and stakeholder collaboration
• Coordinate learnership and internship programmes
• Facilitate bursary management services
• Monitor compliance with applicable prescripts
