Job Overview

The Western Cape Mobility Department, Western Cape Government, is hiring an Assistant Director: Financial Accounting (Ref No: WCMD 33/2026). The salary ranges from R487 197 to R573 897 per annum (Level 09). Candidates must possess an appropriate 3-year B-Degree in Financial Accounting or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. Requirements & Qualifications

• An appropriate 3-year B-Degree (equivalent or higher) in Financial Accounting or related
• A minimum of 3 years relevant experience in a financial accounting or similar environment
• Knowledge of legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices bearing on line functions
• Knowledge of Public Service Act, 1994, Basic Conditions of Employment Act, PFMA, and National Treasury Regulations
• Working experience with BAS system and LOGIS system
• Proficiency in database management, information and records management, project management, and operational management
• Skills in numeracy, literacy, computer literacy, language, project management, accounting, finance, and audit
